Siddur Rosh Chodesh
New Moon
Numbers
10:7-10. But when the qahal is to be gathered together, you will
blow, but you shall not sound an alarm. The sons of Aaron, the
priests, will blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a
perpetual statute throughout your generations. And when you go to
war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you
shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered
before Yahweh your Elohim, and you will be saved from your enemies.
On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts, and
at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets
over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace
offerings; they shall serve you for remembrance before your Elohim:
I am Yahweh your Elohim."
May it be Your will, Yahweh our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers,
That you renew for us this month for good and for blessing,
And grant us long life, a life of peace, a life of goodness,
A life of blessing, a life of sustenance,
A life of physical strength,
A life in which there is fear of heaven and fear of sin,
A life in which there is no shame or disgrace,
A life of prosperity and honor,
A life in which there will be love for Torah and the reverence for
Heaven,
A life filled with wishes of our heart for good. Amen
He who did miracles for our fathers and redeemed
them from slavery to freedom,
May He redeem us soon and gather our dispersed
from the four corners of the earth;
All Israel are companions!
And let us say. Amein.
This new month, may it come upon all Israel for goodness.
May He renew it, the Set-apart One, blessed be He,
Upon us and upon all His people the House of Israel
For life, peace, happiness and joy,
For salvation and consolation, and let us say.
Amein.
