Greetings and shalom.

This is a quick update from Jack Snyder for the Netzarim Yahad, our Hebraic Roots Study Group in Vero Beach.  If you don’t wish to receive this occasional update from me, don’t be shy – just reply with ‘no thanks’ in the subject line.

Before you do, check out the links – you may be interested in them.

Otherwise I just have a couple interesting follow-up items:

Though we’ve been meeting on and off for many months, our first “official” meeting on Friday the 13th was a wonderful time of learning, worship and fellowship.  The Ruach ha Qodesh was moving in a wonderful way among his elect!

Thank you all for making it so.  We will schedule to meet of Erev Shabbat (Friday nights) at 7 PM – the 20th next at Poinciana 141.  Come a few minutes early to avoid the closing of the Yahshua Shahar (Gate of Yahshua)! If you need directions, find them at www.yahpop.us or call me at the number below.

PASSOVER SEDER: We have settled on the Green Ears / New Moon approach to the calendar as we now plan our Messianic Passover Seder for April 11 (Saturday), 6 PM.  This will be a most enriching and enjoyable time of reliving the pathway to promise of our ancestors, the Children of Israel.  If you would like to take part or need more information, just reply to this note.  There are a few seats left, and we will need to get you a Hag Gaddah (The Little Book of Telling).  You can check out the 2009 service here.

REFERENCES: I mentioned several some of the information from the Apocrypha, Pseudepigrapha, and the Apostolic Writings that some may be interested in looking into a little.  How can we understand the B’rit Chadosha (New Covenant) without the writings of the sages whom the Shlichim (Apostles) read all the time?

We may try a little ‘mixed salad’ of several of these illuminating writings at these two pages:

Apostolic writings on Abortion – look at it not so much for the sake of the subject, but for the great variety of sources and resources on this page.

The Son of Man in Enoch 45 – 51 – this section gives us a quick look at what the Savior and Apostles read and quoted in their letters.  (You may check out my new translation of Ethiopic Enoch, Tripping with Chanuch, at this link.)

Heli and Honi – a story in the Second Maccabees rarely read these days.  Now you can read it or listen to me read it to you in streaming audio. Here’s a hint – seven hundred drunken, drug crazed elephants vs. Eliezar the Tzadik.  Who do you suppose wins that contest?

Hinneh!  Have a Scriptural week, y’all!
