THE NAZOREAN WAY

 &

The Days of Awe

Are the 10 days between the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).  These two “Feasts” are specified in Yahweh’s Torah:

Feast of TRUMPETS:

Leviticus 23:23.  And Yahweh said to Moses,  24.  "Say to the people of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.  25.  You shall do no laborious work; and you shall present an offering by fire to Yahweh."

This day is for the blowing of the shofar – the ram’s horn.  The home service for trumpets and how to blow them is found here.

Feast of ATONEMENT

26.  And Yahweh said to Moses,  27.  "On the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves and present an offering by fire to Yahweh.  28.  And you shall do no work on this same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before Yahweh your Elohim.  29.  For whoever is not afflicted on this same day shall be cut off from his people.  30.  And whoever does any work on this same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.  31.  You shall do no work: it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.  32.  It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict yourselves; on the ninth day of the month beginning at evening, from evening to evening shall you keep your Sabbath."

Atonement is probably the most important of Yahweh’s Feasts, for it is the day in which the book of the living and dying is sealed for the year (supposedly).  This is a Sabbath; no work of labor is to be done.  The penalty for purposely not keeping this Sabbath is severe, especially in light of the sealing of the book for the upcoming year.  Also, this is a day of affliction; which means that a covenant member doesn’t eat or drink for 24 hours.  It is the supreme day of doing without, introspecting and interceding.

THE DAYS OF AWE

Are in between.  This is when the books are opened and inscribed by the heavenly hand.  We see this in Scripture several times:

Job refers to it: 19:23.  "Oh that my words were written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!  24.  Oh that with an iron pen and lead they were graven in the rock for ever!  25.  For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at last he will stand upon the earth;  26.  and after my skin has been thus destroyed, then from my flesh I shall see Elohim,  27.  whom I shall see on my side, and my eyes shall behold, and not another.”

Ezekiel 3: 1.  AND [the angel of Yahweh] said to me, "Son of man, eat what is offered to you; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel."  2.  So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.  3.  And he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it."

Paul refers to it: 4:3.  And I ask you also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Yahshua speaks of it: Rev 3:5.  He who conquers shall be clad thus in white garments, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life; I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

Yahshua Rev 13: 7.  Also [the Beast] was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation,  8.  and all who dwell on earth will worship it, every one whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain.

The Revelator: 10:8.  Then the voice which I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, "Go, take the scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land."  9.  So I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll; and he said to me, "Take it and eat; it will be bitter to your stomach, but sweet as honey in your mouth."  10.  And I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it; it was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it my stomach was made bitter.

Rev 20: 11.  Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.  12.  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.  13.  And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.

HOW TO PRIORITIZE

Get three sheets of blank paper.  On the first, write “A” at the top.  On the second, write “B.”  On the third, write “C.”  The on the C list, write everything you need to get done eventually.  When this is finished, consider each item.  If it is top priority – if you need it done immediately or you will lose time, money or friendships – move it to the A list and cross it off C.  When finished, consider all the items left on the C list one by one.  If you need to get it done sometime soon or you will lose time, money or friends, transfer the item to the B list and cross it off the C list.  Now put the A list on the top of your desk, the B list in the top drawer, and the C list, including the remaining items, into the waste paper basket.

TWO BOOKS & TWO LISTS

Few notice that there are two lists (or books) at the judgment.  One was a big book with everyone who ever lived listed and the evil and good they had done.  All those who had died were summoned from wherever they died or ended up.  The second book, a little one, had the names of people who would be judged as having done good in their fleshly existence.  So those judged worthy of life, not that many, gained life.  The rest, along with the books, are cast into the incinerator.

THE LAMB

Those who are the elect (the chosen) of the Lamb – who gave their lives to his cause – who spread his name, fame and Father’s covenant – are in neither book.  Why?  The Lamb tells us why the names of Yahshua’s first class servants are not in either book.

John 5:24.  Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

In fact, their names can’t be in the books because “To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone which no one knows except him who receives it” (Rev 2:17).  The new name is HWHY because the elect have partaken in and become one with Yahshua’s spiritual body.  This is the hidden manna – hidden only because we cannot see ourselves in him with the eyes of flesh we have now.  For “it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2)

THE GROUP:  MySpace tells me I have almost 115 million in my network.  The most important group to be a part of isn’t the big one, but the small:

THE LITTLE FLOCK.

Luke 12:32 32.  "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  33.  Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.  34.  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.  35.  Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning,”
