DAY OF ATONEMENTADDevo 100106Dear Hebrew Roots Mavens.
SOME CREATURE: What is this? A creature showed up to welcome the seventh Scriptural month. Never has such a thing been seen. What is it? Take a look at the pictures on this page: www.jacksonsnyder.com/yah/page/what-is-it.htm. There you may fill in a black to tell us what this thing is if you know.
MYSPACE MUSIC: We have set up a music and blog page at My Space. It features 4 downloads from the latest Elohymns CD “I Stand For Peace but They Are for War” – different songs than those on our music page. Please visit www.myspace.com/elohymns for your music. There is also a nice short lesson about getting your priorities straight, according to motivation guru Brian Tracy. Click on “blog.” (The site is still under construction.) Please leave us a message while you are there.
TESTIMONIAL: I Stand For Peace-Elo-Hymns Vol. II NEW! A tremendous message recorded in music by Yaakov/Jackson Snyder. 20 super tracks lifting up the body of Yahshua to overcome the end times and the end time beast. All songs carry the message of Scripture using the true Names only. These are the true Hebraic Psalms presented with a creativity that is unsurpassed. NEW! Exclusive from YATI publishing. Rab Moshe Koniuchowsky, Your Arms to Israel Worldwide. www.EloHymns.com.
DAY OF AWE: Tonight ends the Days of Awe with the Day of Atonement at sunset. You’ve no doubt already received emails from others teaching about this day. I will just emphasize FIVE things about Atonement that are of utmost importance for someone trying to renew their Hebraic Roots or become a true worshiper:
DAY OF ATONEMENT:From Sunset Sunday through Sunset Monday: 1. One is to “afflict oneself.” This means to deny yourself food and, if possible, water. If you cannot fast because of a life-threatening condition (such as diabetes), you are exempt. If not, then FAST. Eat your supper before sundown, then tomorrow, eats your supper after. Eat nothing in between. You can do it for Yahweh, and he will bless you doubly for being obedient. 2. Read again the commandments of Yahweh in Leviticus 23. Note what happens if we are not faithful. Remember that Yahshua your Messiah and all the Apostles fasted on this day, as well as contemporary saints and true worshipers all over the world. 3. Do not labor. Though Atonement is a Sabbath day, it is not necessarily a day of inactivity. Do all the good you can, but do not labor. 4. Hold a convocation – a prayer meeting – with those in your home, local congregation or – if necessary – all alone with your Savior. Let the Spirit be your guide.
Father Yahweh, it is our great privilege to thank you for your atoning sacrifice in Yahshua the Anointed One. How we love and adore you for taking away the sting of death. And how we desire to worship you now as you desire to be worshiped. Help us to become introspective on this time of remembrance in order to fulfill your command. Amein.
