<Be Prepared>

Iasu Revealed in 2007?

Be Prepared HOME

ABSTRACT

The predictions of Iasu and their conjunction with the liberation of Iarusalem in 1967, the Y2K 'hoax' and the predictions of Ian regarding the Beast.  A page from the Snyder Bible, ©1998,2000 by Iackson Snyder

"Be Prepared" is the motto of the embattled Boy Scouts; we learned it as children. As Scouts we were to be prepared for any emergency; any contingency. And no better motto could be chosen by believers in Iasu at the end of the 20th century than "Be Prepared." We may be facing overwhelming catastrophes in the next few years.

Preparation was on the mind of Iasu the Anointed when he was speaking to his loved ones about the immediate future:

When you see Iarusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those inside the city must leave it, and those out in the country must not enter it; for these are days of vengeance, as a fulfillment of all that is written. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress on the earth and wrath against this people; they will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken away as captives among all nations. (Luke 21:20-33)

Iasu is predicting the sack of Iarusalem by Roman armies 40 years before it actually happened (70 AD). He tells his people in advance to be prepared for the inevitable and flee when the signs are obvious. Iasu’s followers who lived to see the day of Iarusalem's destruction remembered and heeded the 40-year-old warning. They left the city for the eastern wilderness, and just in time. Because they remembered and prepared, they were remembered and spared.

After dispensing the word, Iasu looks far into the future to predict an event that would transpire far into the future -- in our lifetimes --1967:

Iarusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

The ragtag Israeli army finally expelled the Gentiles from Iarusalem during the Six Day War of 1967. Up until that time, non-Jews had held the city for over 1900 years! The reintegration of Iarusalem into a free Israeli state is proof that

Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words will not pass away.

And the generation alive to see this happen is ours.

Then Iasu goes on to tell about the times following 1967 -- these times -- NOW:

There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on the earth distress among nations ... People will faint from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon the world ... for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see 'the Son of Man coming in a cloud' with power and great glory.

We who have lived to see Iarusalem freed from Gentile control may also see the Son of

Man coming with power. Yes, you and I may recognize him quite soon. His revelation is nothing to fear, for

when these things begin to take place, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

How soon after Iarusalem was freed in 1967 might Iasu be recognized as being among us? He tells us, Amen, Amen; this generation will not pass away until all things have taken place.

"Generation" has a double meaning, but for our purposes it means "forty years." If we read Luke 21 literally, then Iasu means to make his appearance public within 40 years or so after 1967, which means he may be returning near the year 2007.

In the meantime, St. John (in Revelation 13) predicted that a beastly world conglomerate and despot leader would arise in the time preceding Iasu’s public appearance in 2007. Some exegetes, especially those of a dispensational bent, interpret Revelation as predicting a seven-year reign for this ‘Beast.’ If such are correct, this means the Beast of Revelation could begin his ascension around 2000 and continue until 2007, when Iasu appears exactly one generation after the regaining of Iarusalem. But for such a scenario to come to pass, some world-shaking event must needs occur around 2000 to usher in the Beast.

And there is only one expected event that has the potential of causing a world upheaval that could bring on a Tyrant of Revelational proportions in 2000: that event is the Millennium Computer Bug. By now, everybody laughs in relief about the "Y2K Hoax."

(Pundits like me predicted computer chips and software manufactured prior to 1996 would not be able to properly process the date shift from the 1900s to 2000, invalidating data or causing computers to crash. Multiply the problem by thousands of computers in hundreds of industries and you have the potential of a new dark ages overnight. Imagine the ramifications to follow if the electrical power grid went down for a month.)

Many businesses and governments spent trillions of dollars to correct the problem, and as a result nothing much happened January 1, 2000, though even the most conservative experts said that it wasn’t a matter of whether it would happen or not; rather, just how bad would the damage will be.

In retrospect: Washington Post columnist Neal Peirce wrote on October 26th, 1998 that the problem is, while experts "have a precise date for their feared disaster, they have no conclusive way to know precisely what will happen. On January 1, 2000, it may be bedlam.... The bedlam could occur even if local governments and businesses and utilities take reasonable steps to update and check all their own computers. Any major disruption of the national electric power grid could ricochet across the country. A business may find its suppliers' or customers' computers sending it invalid data that freeze (sic) its own computers. A bank could be Y2K 'clean,' but find it's importing corrupt data from other countries."

1997’s 2000 simulation at Hawaii's power company resulted in a disastrous power outage. If just one power company goes down, many on the power network may also go down with it -- all grids are more or less connected. If our power grid goes down, so does banking, so does business; and we don't know how to survive without electricity.

Michael Hyatt, a foremost expert on the Millennium Bug, advises us to be prepared, and some preparation is better than no preparation at all.

Moot point now? Hardly. The more patient of the Y2K commentators, the ones who have been warning us the longest (like Jim Lord), have said all along that we would not see any major Y2K problems until, at earliest, late summer of 2000, when there is the greatest demand for electrical power. Don’t give your freeze-dried food to the mission just yet!

As ministers of the gospel and "watchmen on the wall," we feel a duty in love to you whom we know well

(1) to inform you of what Iasu and Ian have predicted for our time, and
(2) to help you get prepared with practical solutions to possible problems.

Church history tells us that those first-century followers of Iasu who remembered then heeded his prophetic words were prepared for the Roman onslaught and fled just in time to be preserved. Let us also be prepared for

(1) possible panic after 2000, no matter what the catalyst or cause,

(2) a great ordeal, as predicted in Revelation 11,

(3) and the joyful revelation of the Son of Man, ushering in justice, mercy and a Kingdom to the earth.

And that is why we have created the Be Prepared newsletter and Website.
