Genesis 30:25.  When Rachel had borne Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own home and country.  26.  Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me go; for you know the service which I have given you.”  27.  But Laban said to him, “If you will allow me to say so, I have learned by divination that Yahweh has blessed me because of you;  28.  name your wages, and I will give it.”  29.  Jacob said to him, “You yourself know how I have served you, and how your cattle have fared with me.  30.  For you had little before I came, and it has increased abundantly; and the Lord has blessed you wherever I turned. But now when shall I provide for my own household also?”  31.  He said, “What shall I give you?” Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything; if you will do this for me, I will again feed your flock and keep it:  32.  let me pass through all your flock today, removing from it every speckled and spotted sheep and every black lamb, and the spotted and speckled among the goats; and such shall be my wages.  33.  So my honesty will answer for me later, when you come to look into my wages with you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the lambs, if found with me, shall be counted stolen.”  34.  Laban said, “Good! Let it be as you have said.” 

    35.  But that day Laban removed the he-goats that were striped and spotted, and all the she-goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had white on it, and every lamb that was black, and put them in charge of his sons;  36.  and he set a distance of three days’ journey between himself and Jacob; and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flock. 

    37.  Then Jacob took fresh rods of poplar and almond and plane, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the rods.  38.  He set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the runnels, that is, the watering troughs, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink,  39.  the flocks bred in front of the rods and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.  40.  And Jacob separated the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban; and he put his own droves apart, and did not put them with Laban’s flock.  41.  Whenever the stronger of the flock were breeding Jacob laid the rods in the runnels before the eyes of the flock, that they might breed among the rods,  42.  but for the feebler of the flock he did not lay them there; so the feebler were Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s. 

2 Corinthians 12: 1.  It doesn’t do any good, but I must continue bragging. I will now move on to visions and revelations from the Sovereign.  2.  I knew a man in Messiah 14 years ago. This man was caught up to the third heaven. I don’t know whether he was in his physical body or not--Elohim knows.  3.  But I know such a person. Again, I don’t know if he was in or out of his physical body--Elohim knows.  4.  This man was caught up to Paradise.  He heard things that cannot be re-told; a man is not allowed to tell such things to other men.   5.  I will brag about such a man. I won’t brag about myself--only about my weaknesses.

    6.  Even if I wanted to brag, I would not be foolish, because I’m speaking the truth. However, I don’t want to do that, or else someone might think more of me than he does when he sees me or hears me.   7.  I’ve seen some very unusual revelations.  Elohim gave me something, so that I would not become too proud--a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan.  It always tortures me, stopping me from becoming too proud.  8.  I begged Yahweh about this three times. I wanted it to go away from me.

    9.  He said this to me: “My favor is enough for you. Power is made perfect in weakness.”  So I will be very happy to brag about my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah will rest upon me.  10.  This is why, for Messiah, I can take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and disasters. Because when I am weak, that’s when I am really strong.

John 16:21. A woman in childbirth suffers, because her time has come; but when she has given birth to the child she forgets the suffering in her joy that a human being has been born into the world.   22. So it is with you: you are sad now, but I shall see you again, and your hearts will be full of joy, and that joy no one shall take from you.

   23. When that day comes, you will not ask me any questions.  In all truth I tell you, anything you ask from the Father he will grant in my name.   24. Until now you have not asked anything in my name.  Ask and you will receive, and so your joy will be complete.

   25. I have been telling you these things in veiled language.  The hour is coming when I shall no longer speak to you in veiled language

but tell you about the Father in plain words.  26. When that day comes you will ask in my name; and I do not say that I shall pray to the Father for you, 27. because the Father himself loves you for loving me, and believing that I came from God.

“If we can’t think for ourselves, if we’re unwilling to question authority, then we’re just putty in the hands of those in power. But if the citizens are educated and form their own opinions, then those in power work for us. In every country, we should be teaching our children the scientific method and the reasons for a Bill of Rights. With it comes a certain decency, humility and community spirit. In the demon-haunted world that we inhabit by virtue of being human, this may be all that stands between us and the enveloping darkness.”  --Carl Sagan

Dimension: A physical property, such as mass, length, time, or a combination thereof, regarded as a fundamental measure or as one of a set of fundamental measures of a physical quantity

Space of four dimensions, an imaginary kind of extension, which is assumed to have length, breadth, thickness, and also a fourth imaginary dimension. Space of five or six, or more dimensions is also sometimes assumed in mathematics. 

The Spiritual Dimension

   There are many unperceived aspects to what we see and know as reality.  The ancients called these unseen spaces “heavens.”  Depending on which old book you read, there are three or seven or ten.  As we continue deeper into the subject of birthing miracles by faith in Yahweh, we’ll consider what some ancients called “the third heaven,” what religious people call “the spiritual realm” and what scientists call “multi-dimensional reality.”

   We generally perceive reality in three dimensions only.  Look at a “substantial” item (such as this heavy pulpit).  We perceive that it’s solid and heavy; it has height and depth and volume.  Everything seems to have these three spatial aspects -- height, depth and volume – plus many aspects like shape, distance, color, size and texture.  Though we think we see a lot, we’re created with serious perceptual limitations. 

   Things in the spiritual realm are like those in the natural (like this pulpit) – there is height, depth and volume, but also a fourth characteristic that can’t be easily described, because it can’t be readily perceived with eyes, ears, nose, hands or tongue.  When those who have perceived this fourth dimension try to describe it, they can only do so in the language of visions:

I looked and there was an open door in heaven. I heard what sounded like a trumpet: “Come up here!” Immediately, I was in the spiritual realm. There was a throne in heaven with someone like precious jewels sitting. There was a rainbow around the throne like an emerald.  Lightning, thunder, and rumblings came from the throne. Seven lamps were burning in front and there was a crystal lake with four beasts around it. They had eyes everywhere – in front and behind. Each had six wings and was covered with eyes.  (Paraphrase, Revelation 4:1-6) 

   What the revelator saw he could only describe in terms he knew.  St. Paul says that what he perceived in the third heaven was “so astounding that it’s beyond a person’s power to describe or put in words” (2 Corinthians 12:14 TLB+).  We haven’t vocabulary for it because we haven’t the senses for it.  The spiritual realm is ambiguous and contradictory.  But even carnal scientists have now proven that the spiritual realm exists.  It’s present in everyone, everything, everywhere: it’s an integral and essential part of all reality, whether we have senses to perceive it or not.

   Scientists inform us that the laws of the spiritual realm are different than – and may circumvent those of – the natural realm, causing things we perceive to behave in unusual ways.  Scientists call these “anomalies,” others call them “phenomena,” “miracles” or “moves of the spirit.”  In fact, when we do something as simplistic as praying in expectation of receiving, we’re doing our best to modify our perceived world through supernatural means.

   Some people seem to have a natural “sixth sense” that may be supplied by either the Holy Spirit or some foul occult spirit.  Some people try to work with spiritual beings to change the future – for one reason or the other – for the good or the evil.  They call their spiritual contacts angels, ghosts, ascended masters or “souls of the departed.”  Some claim to be able of their own powers to suspend the laws of nature.

 

Fourth Dimensional Intelligences Revealed!

   Others say this is all hogwash – that spirits, angels and devils don’t exist at all.  Dr. Carl Sagan, astronomer and author, told the world in his books and television series that multidimensional reality is a fact.  At the same time, he denied the existence of devils and angels.  However, this great man of science wrote the following unsettling words about such creatures in his bestseller, The Cosmos. 

“If a fourth-dimensional creature existed it could, in our three-dimensional universe, appear and dematerialize at will, change shape remarkably, pluck us out of locked rooms and make us appear from nowhere.  It could also turn us inside out.  There are several ways in which we can be turned inside out: the least pleasant would result in our viscera and internal organs being on the outside and the entire cosmos...on the inside.  I am not sure I like the idea.”

   The Bible agrees with the scientist – or should we say that the scientist agrees with the Bible.  Scriptures are steeped in the fourth-dimensional – in the language of vision and revelation – of heavens, hells, torments, paradise, lands, banqueting houses and mansions in glory, populated by billions of cherubim, seraphim, malachim, ophanim, nephilim, gibborim, angels, spirits, watchers, beasts, living creatures, devils, demons, demigods, principalities, powers, evil ones and wicked entities in the sky and cast down to earth.  Though these unseen creatures may have the ability to turn a human being inside out, Yahweh only allows them to try to convince people to tear themselves apart.

 

Re-Birthing Technology

   The Bible also informs us that the three-dimensional realm we live in was first incubated in the spiritual realm before it was birthed.  At the proper time, Elohim spoke the word from somewhere we’ll never see, and everything we can see sprang forth – and all of that was good.  But then the rebellion came – there was “war in heaven” pitting the disobedient against the obedient – the evil against the good – and since then, the entire wonderful creation has been broken and torn, soiled and spoiled, and now desperately needing peace and re-creation.  That’s why it’s so evident that we live in a broken world – our lives are broken – our families are broken – we hate – we kill – we despoil – for the war goes on and on and on – both in heaven and on earth.

   That’s why Yahweh sent his Son from his womb; so that we may share in the therapeutic, healing power of the spiritual realm by allowing him to incubate us afresh, then re-birth us in his glorious spiritual likeness.  We’re selected for a mission – to restore ruptured creation by spiritual means and supernatural powers.  We’re “born anew.”  We’ve become spiritual beings while yet living in flesh and blood. 

John 3:5,6. Jesus says: In all truth I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom without being born through water and spirit; what is born of human nature is human; what is born of spirit is spirit.

   We boast in our newness, that we need no longer contact spirits, gods or psychic guides for anything, for we are now ourselves spirit and have access to the highest power of all.  And as spiritual beings, we work with Yahweh to expose and destroy evil, bring peace and reconciliation, and thus restore creation to its pristine goodness – day-by-day, task-by-task, minute-by-minute – until we present our world to him perfected.

 

Let’s Go Into More Detail  

   Now, how do we recreate and modify reality using spiritual stuff?  How do we fight the battle for creation and life?  We see how He did it:

Genesis 1:1-3 (SSBE) In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth. And the earth had become waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of Elohim moved upon the face of the waters.  And Elohim said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

  The Creator was incubating the earth, moving upon the waters.  Through a prolonged spiritual action came a physical reaction we call creation.  From the full gestation in the supernatural, the natural burst forth.  Through Yahweh’s extraterrestrial force, chaos came to order upon terra firma, ugliness was transformed to beauty and dead waste became teeming with vitality.  The earth, which was lifeless, was spirited to life. 

   Now we are “seated in heavenly places” – we take the power of creation and create.  We have new sensibilities toward spiritual reality that the superstitious, carnal man hasn’t.  Like any infant, we’re nurtured, educated and directed from above.  Though we’re seated with him, we may still slide off the high chair and resume our former state – stunted and blinded to the invisible world around us – backslidden – impotent to fulfill our mission – found and lost again. 

   But should we choose to go forward in our election – to become mature in our faith – to remain upon the heavenly chair until it becomes a throne, then we’ll begin to create order out of chaos, beauty out of waste, love out of hate and peace from war.  We begin to move upon the face of the waters – incubating our little parcel until it becomes Eden.  We see to the changing of circumstances, the renewing of wasted lives, the healing of infirm creatures.  We precisely follow the guidelines for restoration set down by our Father in heaven.  We redeem the earth. 

 

Spiritual Sources Of Power

   Did you know there’re two nations in the spiritual realm: “the Kingdom of the Beloved Son” and its opposite, “the Dominion of Darkness” (Colossians 1:13)?  Whenever the Bible speaks of darkness and light, it’s referring to these nations.  Those who are “born again” choose a new career – evangelist – and they live, move and have their being in the Kingdom of the Beloved Son (Acts 17:28).  Yahshua’s men and women may by no means plug into the Dominion of Darkness for any reason.  Instead, they’re to vanquish it. 

   Those who haven’t chosen for the Kingdom are driven about by the evil deceivers who control, abuse, molest, exploit, kill, steal and destroy.  Though Yahweh’s grace prevents evil entities from “turning a man inside out,” grace doesn’t prevent a man from choosing his master.  You may choose light or dark, life or death.  Making no choice at all is a choice for dark, the devil and death.

   The “born again” certainly experience wonderful joys and victories, but they’re also afflicted, for the devilish will do whatever they can to destroy any godly, creative work that’s birthed by the good.  However, if they only will, lovers of good may appropriate the very power of Creation to take their afflictions and miseries and make of them powerful obstacles to evil.  Look again to St. Paul, who, though greatly afflicted, gained much territory for the Kingdom.  He talks about suffering in these words:

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 I’ve received a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan. It tortures me, keeping me from becoming proud. I begged Yahweh three times for it to go away.  Yahweh said: “My favor is enough for you.  Power is made perfect in weakness.”  So now I’m happy to brag about my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah will rest on me the more.  I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and disasters because when I am weak, that’s when I am really strong.

   We say, “What can I do?  I’m old, used up, weak, diseased, hurt, poor, dumb, shy, depressed, tired, retired.”  But he says, “My power is complete in your weakness.”  He means that we can become effective and creative in modifying our slice of reality no matter how feeble we think we are.  For the weaker we are, the stronger in faith we may be.  You’re a power plant!  Take Yahshua’s yoke upon you and learn from him; then you may conceive, incubate and give birth to miracles.

 

The Subconscious and the Spiritual

   People desperately need supernatural miracles of faith.  Unfortunately, fools try to take control of the supernatural realm by easy but fatal means.  What I hear of most is that even children are consulting psychics to help them remember things, find things, quit things or learn things.  Some think they’ll contact deceased loved ones or find lost relatives through psychics, mediums or witches.  People use foul music, occult rituals and the Internet to connect with spiritual darkness. 

   Most of the cases I hear about are professing Christians involving themselves in the occult.  Rather than pray through and get the truth, they’ll pay $9 a minute for advice from a devil on the west coast.  Even in church, it’s easy to find a psychic channeler who’ll “prophesy” the future onto a cassette tape.  I know a man who’s collected a whole box of  “prophecy tapes” for his future – and no two tapes tell the same tale.  Yet churches consider this to be biblical.  People who dabble in the occult have no idea how dangerous it is.  Even a little stroll into the Dominion of Darkness can be lethal. 

   Yahweh strictly forbids anyone to engage in these practices for good reason.  Psychic racketeers are controlled by the unclean spirits.  When demons are invited into your life, they never leave.  They’ll work you into their network of cold wickedness.  Flattering psychics are hungry and need you to call on them.  Your invitation through the occult practitioner gives them a contractual right to feed off your juices like tapeworms – forever.  Once in, they multiply like rats.  And like rats, they’re hard to get rid of.

   I’ve known many who’ve engaged in occult practices without ever renouncing them.  In time, some’ve been consumed by affliction, mental illness, obsession, perversion, hatred, crazy behavior, jealousy – and some’ve died.  I know one person who simply tried on an occult ring.  This was the beginning of the voices, the unseen threats, the morbid fears, the suicidal and murderous thoughts, the hellish nights of terror.  His personhood is still being eaten away from the inside out by vile spiritual parasites.  All from a ring.

   Friend, thou shalt not attend so-called psychics or demon-filled prognosticators.  The devil will always exact a price far higher than you’ll ever be able to pay, for “the wages of sin is death.”  You’ll bring down hell on your family and become a prisoner in your own body.

 

The Inner Being

   Instead, we’re called on as the born again to strengthen the power of Yahweh within through holiness, love, worship, prayer, praise and good deeds – spiritual exercises!  No matter your physical condition, you can be a spiritual Superman.  The Bible calls the spiritual powerhouse within “the inner man.” 

Ephesians 3:16-19 (para.) May Yahweh strengthen you with spiritual power in your inner man so that Messiah may live in your hearts through faith. And may you have power to grasp how wide, long, high and deep (how four dimensional) is Messiah’s love – that you may be filled to the top with it.

   But how?  In the last installment, we talked about what kind of faith it took for Abraham and Sarah to bring forth Isaac, the child of promise.  Let’s look at Isaac’s son, Jacob, to see how he applies his grandfather’s faith.  The story (Gen 30:25-42) holds an amazing supernatural truth. 

 

Jacob’s Polka-dots

   Jacob is a man of Yahweh; named for him.  Jacob means “Yahweh’s Protection.”  He’s served his ruthless father-in-law, Laban, for years in order to win Rachel, his youngest daughter.  Laban consults dark psychics to inform his business decisions (Genesis 30:27).  You know the story.  Jacob’s finally had enough, and he’s parting company to fulfill his mission.  But Laban owes him thousands in back pay.  If Jacob just up and leaves, Laban will have him locked up.  So Jacob turns to Yahweh for the plan– and he receives the plan in his “inner man”!  It makes no sense, especially to the scientist, but through Jacob’s weak position and strong faith, the Holy Spirit will suspend the laws of genetic science to set him free.

   “Father-in-law,” says Jacob, “You know how your herds have prospered under my care.  So let’s make a deal.  You take the polka-dotted animals, and go away.  I’ll take the solid-colored animals.  Then I’ll keep any kids born polka-dotted – they’ll be mine.  Now how ‘bout that?”  Laban already proved Jacob’s gullibility but he can’t believe this deal!  Any farmer knows that solid-colored mated with solid-colored aren’t going to produce many polka-dotted.

   But Yahweh’s plan for Jacob is articulated in supernatural language – dreams and visions.  And Jacob knows, with Yahweh’s help, all things are possible.  As Jacob tends his solid-colored cattle, he sees polka-dots, dreams polka-dots, thinks polka-dots, wears polka-dots.  He builds a polka-dot corral so that his solid-colored cattle see polka-dots everywhere and envision polka-dotted kids.  He paints polka-dots on the animals – he paints himself.   He directs his inner man polka-dot-ward.  Jacob and Yahweh hook up in the spirit and move upon then incubate the solid-colored cattle to do something very scientific and modern – gene therapy.  When the solid-colored animals give birth, out poke little polka-dots.  Before long, Jacob owns a vast multitude of polka-dotted animals, and eventually turns his poverty into riches.

   But Jacob’s vision isn’t to become wealthy – it’s much greater than that.  Through this wealth, he returns to Abraham’s promised land and establishes it through his twelve sons, the patriarchs.  Yahweh changes Jacob’s name to Israel, which means, “he’ll rule with the Elohim.”  But that’s not all.  Now, Christians are “Spiritual Israel,” the polka-dotted descendants of Jacob in the spiritual realm.  We’re the children of his vision: you and me!  Now that’s powerful and timelessly supernatural.

   It’s our vision to rule the promised land with Yahweh’s Son, little-by-little, day-by-day, task-by-task, minute-by-minute – until we present our world back to him perfected.  As Yahweh and Israel changed the color of the herd, we may change the essence of our reality.

 

The Small Scale

   Next is an illustration to show you how you can prove to yourself the reality of the Kingdom of the Beloved Son in which you claim to live.  (This case is from the file of Yonggi Cho.  I reworded it.)

   A hysterical woman comes into a counseling session with her pastor.  She cries,

   “My daughter’s destroying our home.  She’s devilish – as if she has a vendetta against us.  She looked up my husband’s business associates and, going from nightclub to nightclub, motel to motel, she’s seduced them all.  Everyone knows.  She’s the shame of our whole family.  My boys are dying of embarrassment.  I’ve tried everything I know as a mother.  I’ve even asked the Lord to strike her dead!  But she just laughs at me and calls me every foul name.  We did nothing to cause this and don’t understand it.  We don’t know what to do.  Can you help us?” 

   The pastor knows nothing of this, but calls her to prayer so he can have a little time to check with the Kingdom of the Beloved Son.  After the “Amen,” the pastor sheepishly says,

“Sister, maybe I can tell you why your prayers aren’t answered.  You loathe this girl now and you’re envisioning her in your prayer as a harlot.  You’re praying that she’s delivered from her sins, but, at the same time, you’re unwilling to give up your ugly vision.  This is because you’re so angry and hurt over her.  Is this not the case?”

   The mother’s quick to answer.

“But the truth is, pastor, she is a prostitute and a vile person.  I didn’t raise her this way, but I can’t deny the fact of the matter either.”

   The pastor knows he’s on the right track.  Mother’s attitude and vision only makes things worse.  That has to change in her inner man.

“Sister, if you really want her changed, you need a wider vision.  You need to see this daughter in her potential in Yahshua.  You’re His daughter and the children he gave you are good.  He didn’t bless you with her so she could be a prostitute.  Clean the canvas of your inner man and start a new painting of your daughter.  Start seeing her through the cleansing blood of the Lamb instead of through the filth of this world.”

   But mother isn’t yet ready to give up.

“But she’s so dirty, wretched and ugly to me!  She’s filthy.  I hate what she’s become.”

The pastor has to convince her to change her vision.

“Stop talking like that!  Stop being so carnal yourself right here and now.  Let the Father draw a new vision upon your inner man.  Close your eyes.  Look to the top Golgotha.  See your Savior bleeding on that torture stake?  Can you see him?  He’s showing himself to you right now for the sake of your daughter.  Now the Father puts your daughter right behind the Savior – can you see her there?  He’s giving you a new vision of her right now.  Can you see how she’s polka-dotted with her Savior’s blood?  Of course you can.  Now see your daughter forgiven, cleansed, born again, filled with the Spirit - completely changed.  Look hard.  The Heavenly Father is giving you this vision now.”

   Finally, mother can see, but dimly.

“Oh yes, yes – now I can see her differently, through the Savior’s blood and cross!  If I really try hard, that is.  If I really try, I can see her changed, as she was before.”

   This is what the Father and the Pastor want this mother to do.  If she can see it a little, then as she tries harder, her vision will become clearer so it can be incubated by faith.  Then, when the time comes, Yahshua the midwife will birth the spiritual vision into reality.  In the meantime the pastor admonishes:

“OK, thank you Holy Spirit.  Sister, keep this picture of your daughter in your mind day in and day out.  Only see her through His cleansing blood.  Look harder each time until you can see clearly.  Pretty soon, if you care enough, you’ll start seeing her this way when she comes by.  Let’s set the vision in prayer.  Dear Holy Spirit, flow into this new vision.  Change three-dimensional reality!  Perform miracles!  Amen.”

   Weeks turn into months, but mother works on her vision.  She has setbacks and the devil tries to steal it.  But she stays in heavenly places, and reconceives her daughter as cleansed in the precious blood. 

   Almost a year later, this lady introduced a glowing young woman to the pastor as her daughter.  There’d been a complete turn-about.  After mother shared her vision, the daughter felt compelled to tell the pastor her story:

“I awoke one morning in a motel with a man I hardly knew.  For the first time in a year, I felt filthy dirty and so unhappy.  I wanted to go home – and back to innocence – but I was afraid because of what my family thought of me.  I decided to try just one time.  If they put me out, that would be the last.  I went straight from the motel, and when I got home, my mother met me with a big smile, a hug and a kiss, and the words ‘Welcome, my beautiful daughter.’  I was overwhelmed.  I cried so hard that something foul left out of me.  I started going to church with mother, and after a few weeks, I confessed all my sins.  By his blood, Jesus made me free and clean in an instant.  I intend, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to remain so.”

  Epilog: this mother found access to the power of Yahweh in the spiritual realm and her daughter eventually struggled free of Satan’s snares.  She found a fine husband and had three good children of her own.  Now, this is a true story, a case history.  But it’s not an isolated or rare story.  It happens all the time for those willing to believe that  

 

“Substantial things seen, through hope, make the unseen plainly visible.”

 

What About You

   Our intention is to learn of what faith can do and apply faith, envisioning, incubating and birthing to worldwide situations in which evil prospers and no good can otherwise penetrate.  But we practice first on the small scale.  What needs changing in your life, in your relationships, in your family, in your community or in your church?  Plenty!

   Close your eyes now and think – think.  Let Yahweh put you that person you envision getting worse into your mind.  Now polka-dot that person with Jesus’ blood and its cleansing power.  Go to heavenly places and see that person there with you now – cleansed and whole, saved and healed.

   “Dear Holy Spirit, flow into this new vision.  Change three-dimensional reality!  Perform miracles!  Amen.”

 

A Seven Step Act of Self-Anointing with Healing Prayer

Pray this prayer: (1) Yahweh Rapha, lover of my soul, I come to you with a repentant heart knowing you have forgiven my iniquity and that you desire to heal all my diseases according to the Scriptures (Ps 103:1-3).  This day I have need of your powerful healing touch in a particular area of my body. 

(2) So I now take up the mantle of authority you have vested in me and in all believers by virtue of the blessed shed blood of my Savior Jesus Christ.

(3) By that great power I command any spiritual presence that would seek to hinder my restoration to flee from me immediately: Go to the feet of Jesus Christ for him to dispense with you as he will.  (pause)

(4) Now I call upon the creative force of the Logos and the protective force of the Raphaim (Raf-fa-eem’, or angels of healing): Father Yahweh, save your servant (say your name) for the sake of Christ and those who love me.

(5) I now anoint my body (or my surgery or a particular place on my body) with this blessed oil in the name of Jesus of Nazareth (who used oil to heal all manner of diseases): This visible oil, which I feel, is representative of the invisible healing Spirit, which I may not feel but I believe is working in me even now. 

(6) I lay my hands upon myself in great faith as though Jesus himself were touching me.  I ask you now, Yahweh Rapha, to channel the healing of your dear Son through these hands, which you have recreated in your image.  (Remain in an attitude of quiet expectation for a few minutes with hands on body.  Open yourself to receive what is yours by right.)

(7) (Raise hands above head in surrender.)  Now I thank you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit for bringing total health and wholeness to me, your servant and friend, and I shall give you the praise and glory for my healing and recreation now and forevermore.  Amen.
